Electricity
Electricity on the island is 110 volts supplied via standard US plugs. As is typical for most islands, electricity is very expensive so the majority of people who stay here are very energy conscious. Power loss on the island is rare.
Money and Currency
Local currency is the Lempira, and the current exchange rate is L 24.57 to every $1.00 USD. Most places accept US dollars that are in good condition and credit cards, so it is NOT imperative that you exchange your money for local currency. The current sales tax rate is 15% -19% and this will be added to most services and purchases on the island.
Language
Spanish and English are spoken on the island. English is very common in the more traveled tourist areas.

Transportation
Rental Cars are available; we recommend Atlantis Rent a Car (+504-9370-6270) or Alamo rentals. The front desk at your resort should be able to secure a taxi for you at your request.
